What's wrong: Nissan North America, Inc. (Nissan) is recalling certain 2024-2025 Rogue and 2025 INFINITI QX80 vehicles. A software error may cause the rearview camera to display a blank screen when the vehicle is in reverse. As such, these vehicles fail to comply with the requirements of Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard number 111, "Rear Visibility."
The danger: The loss of the rearview camera image while in reverse can reduce the driver's rear visibility, increasing the risk of a crash.
The fix: The in-vehicle infotainment software will be updated by an over-the-air (OTA) software update or by a dealer, free of charge. Owner notification letters were mailed December 2, 2024. Owners may contact Nissan's customer service at 800-647-7261 or INFINITI's customer service at 1-800-662-6200. Nissan's numbers for this recall are R24B3 and R24B4.

What's wrong: Nissan North America, Inc. (Nissan) is recalling certain 2021-2024 Rogue, 2019-2020 Altima, 2019-2022 Infiniti QX50, and 2022 Infiniti QX55 vehicles equipped with 3-cylinder 1.5L or 4-cylinder 2.0L variable compression turbo (VC-Turbo) engines. The engine bearings may have manufacturing defects that can lead to engine failure.
The danger: Engine failure increases the risk of a crash. A bearing failure may cause a breach in the engine block, allowing hot oil to be discharged, increasing the risk of an engine fire.
The fix: Dealers will reprogram the engine control module (ECM) software, free of charge. Owner letters were mailed April 8, 2026. Owners may contact Nissan's customer service at 800-647-7261 or Infiniti's customer service at 1-800-662-6200. Nissan's numbers for this recall are R25A8/A9 and R25B1/B2.

What's wrong: Nissan North America, Inc. (Nissan) is recalling certain 2023-2025 Rogue vehicles equipped with 3-cylinder 1.5L variable compression turbo (VC-Turbo) engines. Increased temperatures can break down the engine oil, which may cause the engine bearings to seize and become damaged, leading to engine failure.
The danger: Engine failure can cause a loss of drive power, increasing the risk of a crash. A bearing failure may cause a breach in the engine block, allowing hot oil to be discharged, increasing the risk of an engine fire.
The fix: Dealers will reprogram the engine control module (ECM) software, inspect for diagnostic trouble codes, and test drive the vehicle, free of charge. The dealer may also inspect the oil pan for metal debris, and replace the engine if necessary. Repairs will be performed free of charge. Owner notification letters were mailed April 8, 2026. Owners may contact Nissan's customer service at 800-647-7261. Nissan's numbers for this recall are R25E2 and R25E3. This recall expands previous NHTSA recall number 25V437. What's wrong: Nissan North America, Inc. (Nissan) is recalling certain 2024-2025 Rogue vehicles equipped with 3-cylinder 1.5L variable compression turbo (VC-Turbo) engines. The gears in the electronic throttle body assembly may break.
The danger: Broken throttle body gears can cause a loss of drive power, increasing the risk of a crash.
The fix: Dealers will reprogram the engine control module (ECM) software and inspect and replace the electronic throttle body assembly as necessary, free of charge. Owner notification letters were mailed April 8, 2026. Owners may contact Nissan's customer service at 800-647-7261. Nissan's numbers for this recall are R25E2, R25E3 and R25A9. So by just looking up current Nissan recalls I was quite confused on how there is 2 open recalls on my particular model, but my car is supposedly not impacted even though I'm having issue and it appears to me that its issues are in fact related to the open recalls. The AWD malfunction light comes on and the car doesn't want to accelerate.
Just sat in my car for about 2 minutes and the back window just broke.sounded like a pop Glass on the ground and my trunk. It is in the shop now to be fixed No lights came on to warn me. So glad this didn’t happen while I was driving with my grandkids!!
Rear window shattered while car was sitting in our driveway. Neighbor outside said there was a loud sharp bang but no people or cars around. Moderate morning temperatures.
Throttle body failed, throwing code P1226
I am seeking reimbursement for an out-of-pocket repair for a Throttle Body replacement (October 2025) that is now covered under Nissan Safety Recall R25E3. Despite providing the invoice, proof of payment, and the recall completion notice, the representative [XXX] , Case #XXX) has verbally denied the claim. Furthermore, the representative refused to provide a written determination, insisting on phone calls only. This was a documented manufacturing defect (internal gear failure), and I am requesting Nissan honor their safety recall policy and refund my repair costs. after 2 weeks of purchasing the vehicle, engine light came on and dealership said it was bad catalytic converter, a month later, they determined it was caused by coolant leaking into engine. so now I need a new engine and catalytic converter
The vehicle suddenly lost motive power due to an engine/throttle control failure consistent with defects described in NHTSA Campaigns 26V081 and R25A8/R25A9/R25B1. It entered limp mode and became unable to accelerate. The vehicle is available for inspection. This created a safety risk because the vehicle was stranded in extreme heat for several hours with no access to water or shelter. I became overheated and physically distressed while waiting for assistance. Nissan would not tow the vehicle, so it sat overnight at a warehouse before eventually being transported to a dealership. A dealer confirmed the vehicle entered limp mode but did not complete the recall repair. The vehicle has now been at the dealership for four days without inspection, and I was told it should not have been towed there, so they will not prioritize it. The manufacturer cannot see the open recall because the dealer incorrectly marked it completed. Because the vehicle could not be driven and the defect has not been repaired, I was unable to travel to work and was terminated as a result. Warning lamps and messages appeared immediately before the failure, including reduced engine power and driver assist system unavailable.
My 2024 Nissan Rogue 1.5L VC-Turbo FWD experienced a serious engine/powertrain failure while driving. The vehicle showed warning messages/lights, including an oil-related warning, began shaking badly, made a loud knocking noise, lost power, and shut off in the street. The vehicle is no longer safely drivable. A Nissan dealer inspected the vehicle and documented that the engine is “knocking internally” and recommended replacement of the engine assembly and turbo, with possible catalyst replacement. The dealer also recommended CVT valve body and O-ring replacement. The scan showed engine-related codes including P219A, P0506, P0303, and P0017, and transmission-related codes including P0746 and P187E. This failure put my safety and others at risk because the vehicle lost power/shut off while in the roadway and could not be safely driven. The vehicle/component is available for inspection upon request. I am concerned this may be related to the known Nissan Rogue 1.5L VC-Turbo engine failure/oil-temperature/bearing issue, but I was told my VIN is not currently included in the engine recall and that no oil-temperature recall code came up. I am filing this complaint because the vehicle had internal engine knock, loss of power, warning lights/messages, and dealer-confirmed engine failure similar to the condition described in the recall. I request NHTSA review whether vehicles outside the current recall VIN population may also be affected.

While driving on hight speed traffic Nissan Rogue CVT Malfunction poped-up on info-screen and all light turn on the cluster, vehicle just allowed me to stop (not a safe area), the issue the engine would disable operation. Could not drive to a safe place The vehicle was in a highway danger zone.Until 30-40 minutes after would allow u to drive to a safe area. This is a big issue for the owners, feels like they are protecting the engine and the transmission for the dealership and forgetting the people in the vehicle for their safety. Running the risk of injuries or even death for the driver and passengers. They should allow drivability of vehicle. This rouge has on 18,000 miles
Subject: Formal Complaint and Denial of Recall Reimbursement – Nissan North America To Whom It May Concern, I am filing a formal complaint against Nissan North America for refusing to reimburse $6,703 in out-of-pocket expenses related to a failed VC-Turbo engine and a faulty electronic throttle body. These components failed on October 20, 2025, and are directly associated with active, ongoing safety recalls. Despite submitting a formal claim through Nissan Consumer Affairs and providing all necessary documentation, my request for reimbursement has been repeatedly denied. Nissan is failing to honor its regulatory obligation to cover costs for repairs involving known safety defects. I request that the NHTSA investigate this refusal to reimburse legitimate recall-related expenses. Thank you for your time and assistance in this matter. Nissan is breaking Magnuson-Moss Warranty Act in this matter. As they are purposely denying reimbursement on safety recall out of pocket repairs done. As nissan at the time of engine failure back on October 2025 refused to honor the recall repair & forced the customer to pay out of pocket for a failed manufacturing defect on Nissan vc turbo engine & Failed Nissan electric throttle body. All recalled manufacturing defects caused by Nissan. Were on October 2025 the engine on my 2024 nissan rogue cut off while driving with my family., with no warning & almost got us into a car accident. The cause was due to failed bearings in the vc turbo engine that nissan refused to fix that caused the vc turbo engine to fail and electric throttle body. All are recalls and serious safety defects. Nissan has been refusing to fix since 2025 in my matter and still till this day in 2026. $5, 700 out of pocket for Nissan vc turbo & $1,003 out of pocket for Nissan Electric throttle body. The contact stated that while attempting to start the vehicle on two occasions, the vehicle failed to start immediately. During the first failure to start, the vehicle started after several minutes with the transmission, check engine, and front radar obstruction warning lights illuminated, and the message "Forward Driving Aid Temporarily Disabled", and the message "Front Sensor Blocked - See Owner’s Manual" was displayed. The vehicle was taken to a dealer where it was diagnosed and determined that the battery needed to be replaced. The vehicle was not repaired. The contact stated that during the second failure, while attempting to start the vehicle, the engine turned over, but the vehicle failed to start for approximately two hours. The master, transmission, check engine, and front radar obstruction warning lights were illuminated and the " Forward Driving Aid Temporarily Disabled", and "Front Sensor Blocked - See Owner’s Manual" messages were displayed. The contact stated that the vehicle was driven to the residence; however, while the vehicle was parked there was blue smoke coming from the tailpipe. While driving approximately 30 MPH, the engine overheated. The vehicle was pulled over to the side of the road and the heater was turned on for approximately three minutes. The vehicle was then towed to a dealer where it was determined that the engine needed to be repaired. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was notified of the failure. The failure mileage was approximately 80,000.

I was driving down the road alte at night on a completely empty road. All of a sudden I heard what sounded like a gun shot hitting glass. I looked in my rearview mirror and noticed my rear windshield was completely shattered. There was no rhyme or reason for it to happen. Just out of nowhere.
My friend went to start my car and she heard a large boom and looked back, and my back windshield had shattered and glass on the ground and inside the car. If I had been opening or closing the trunk it would have severely injured us. Also, there was nothing that had hit it, it was sunny and in the 80 outside. I had to go to Safelight and get a covering for it, while i wait on a replacement. I contacted Nissan and they said that warranty does not cover glass and that maybe something was already wrong with it. My windshield was perfectly intact until it shattered and blew out everywhere.
On November 3, 2025, the rear window spontaneously shattered. The vehicle was parked under the carport under cover at home and was not in motion.
I had just pulled into my driveway and got out and shut the drivers side door and my back window spontaneously shattered. I read online that this has been happening with Rogues in my model year range.
ON CHRISTMAS DAY 2025 AROUND NOON MY 2024 NISSAN ROGUE WAS PARKED IN THE GARAGE AS ALWAYS. GARAGE TEMPERATURE WAS ABOUT 45 F. I OPENED THE REAR HATCH AND HEARD A CRACKLING SOUND. WHEN I CLOSED THE HATCH THE GLASS EXPLODED INTO A MILLION PIECES. CLEARLY THERE MUST HAVE BEEN A MANUFACTURER DEFECT IN THE GLASS FOR THIS TO OCCUR. CONTACTED DEALER, THEY TOLD ME THAT THIS IS NOT A RECALL ISSUE NOR IS IT COVERED UNDER WARRANTY. HOWEVER, AFTER CHECKING WITH SOME OFF-SITE AUTHORITY, THEY SAID THAT SINCE THE CAR WAS SO NEW THAT NISSAN WOULD MAKE AN EXCEPTION AND PAY FOR THE REPLACEMENT OF THE GLASS. LATER THEY SAID THAT SINCE IT HAD MORE THAN 36,000 MILES THEY WOULD NOT PAY FOR IT AFTER ALL. HOWEVER THEY DID SAY THAT THEY WOULD "SPLIT THE COST" WITH ME. I ASKED HOW MUCH MY SHARE OF THAT COST WOULD BE, AND WAS TOLD $480. THIS WAS THE EXACT PRICE QUOTED BY SAFECO TO COME TO MY HOUSE AND REPAIR IT ON THE SPOT. THIS A VERY COMMON ISSUE IN THE 2021-2024 NISSAN ROGUES. THERE IS A CLASS ACTION SUIT AGAINST NISSAN ABOUT THIS ISSUE. AT LEAST IN MY SITUATION I WAS PARKED WHEN IT EXPLODED BUT HAD I BEEN DRIVING THAT GLASS FLYING COULD HAVE BEEN A MUCH WORSE SITUATION. I JUST WANT NISSAN TO OWN UP TO THIS AND COVER THE REPAIR. I ALSO WANT TO MAKE OTHERS AWARE OF THIS KNOWN PROBLEM.

The vehicle became inoperable at high speeds on the interstate, I-65. My husband was able to safely merge to the right shoulder to avoid any crashes. The car made some loud clunking sounds before all power was lost. The car was then towed to the nearest Nissan dealership. It took 3 business days for the dealer to look at the car. The entire engine needed to be replaced. The dealership was able to replace the engine and complete quality assessment/drive and this was completed 4/16/2026. Because this was part of a trip interruption, the dealership is over 150 miles away from my home. I am still not reunited with my car. I have been without this vehicle for 25 days.

The contact stated that while using the key fob to unlock the vehicle, the vehicle failed to open unless the key fob was nearby the front driver's side exterior door lock button. The contact stated that while idling, the steering wheel locked up on one occasion, and on another occasion, the vehicle lunged forward while depressing the brake pedal. Additionally, the contact stated that upon starting the vehicle, the infotainment system screen display was black, and the rearview camera was inoperable while the vehicle was in reverse(R). The contact stated that the failure recurred intermittently. The contact also stated that while attempting to drive from a complete stop, the vehicle hesitated to respond and made an abnormal sound. There was no warning light illuminated. The dealer was unreachable. The vehicle was not diagnosed or repaired. The manufacturer was not contacted. The failure mileage was approximately 400.

The rear windshield in my car completely shattered today without any impact to it at all. I closed my driver's side door and when it closed the rear windshield shattered.. my [XXX] old baby was in the back seat and there was class in her rear facing car seat.. this is completely unsafe. My vehicle was parked in a parking lot on a day with mild temperatures (55 degrees Fahrenheit) and the back window glass spontaneously shattered. Nothing struck it.
The back glass shattered due to what we believe was the heat. The car was parked in our driveway and shattered. There was nothing that hit or punctured the glass. The car was in direct line of home security surveillance, and there was no activity outside when the glass would have shattered.
The rear window completely exploded with no impact from anything. The vehicle was stationary and stopped at a stoplight when it sounded like a gunshot and the rear window completely exploded. There were cracks all over the entire rear window and the window quickly started to fall apart completely. This was dangerous because there was glass falling everywhere on the road and into the car. Now the car is open to the elements. Nissan will not cover this repair under warranty and the insurance will not pay to fix this issue without charging a deductible. Nissan dealership is charging $245 to even look at the vehicle. There is currently a class action lawsuit against Nissan for this issue with other Nissan Rogues for Nissan using glass that is too thin for the vehicle.
I was at work on 05/25/26 and when I got off work, I entered the car and shut the door and the back window shattered. After watching camera from my job, no one was near the car or drove by, but the changes in the window were notice on camera a couple of hours before I got off my shift.

The contact owned a 2024 Nissan Rogue. The contact stated that while driving 65 MPH, the vehicle accelerated inadvertently, and the speedometer increased to 112 MPH. The contact depressed the brake pedal, but the vehicle failed to respond. The contact swerved to avoid other vehicles, and the vehicle veered off the road, struck a tree, and rolled over approximately 10 times. The air bags deployed as needed. The contact noticed fumes before bystanders immediately assisted the contact out of the vehicle and advised the contact that the engine would catch on fire. The vehicle caught on fire. No further information was available. A Police report was filed. The contact was transported to the hospital by ambulance. The contact sustained fractured right ribs number five and seven, a fractured lumbar spine L1, bruises, lacerations, and soreness on the left and right sides of the groin with more significant injury on the left side, and a seat belt mark on the right shoulder. The contact received medical assistance. The vehicle was destroyed but the contact was awaiting additional information from the insurance company. The dealer was contacted and referred the contact to the manufacturer for assistance. The manufacturer was notified of the failure, a case was filed, and the manufacturer persistently inquired about the location of the vehicle. The contact informed the manufacturer that she was recovering from the severe injuries and did not have further information. The failure mileage was approximately 40,000.
The contact owns a 2024 Nissan Rogue. The contact received notification of NHTSA Campaign Number: 24V748000 (BACK OVER PREVENTION, EQUIPMENT). The contact stated that while entering the driveway and the vehicle was in park (P), the vehicle hesitated and jerked then suddenly the front passenger side spun around independently. No warning lights illuminated. As a result, the vehicle crashed into another parked vehicle, then crashed into the rod iron fence, and from the impact into the contact's home where it came to a stop. The driver’s and passenger’s side air bags did not deploy. The contact's daughter-in-law took her to the hospital. The contact sustained a concussion and injuries to the back. A police report was not filed. The vehicle remained at the residence. The insurance company was not contacted. The manufacturer was not notified of the failure. The failure mileage was unknown.

*All dash screens have gone totally black with no info being displayed while driving at interstate highway speeds. Displays stayed totally black for about 10 minutes and the came back on. *Steering assist activated without any warning without cruise being turned on causing me problems when trying to change lanes. *With the cruise control not being selected, the vehicle suddenly started to accelerate until I applied the brakes and slowed the vehicle. *GPS not reliable. On a recent return trip, the system had us locked on a location we were at possibly 8 hours earlier. The GPS never updated as we came home driving thru West Virginia, Delaware, Maryland, Pennsylvania, & finally New Jersey. *Radio constantly displays a message that no receivable stations are available when we select the AM or FM bands, but Satelite radion is available. Although the radio problems are not a safety issue, they are a nuisance when traveling and trying to listen to local stations for road and weather reports. *Recently occurring problem with the cargo door suddenly closing while we are loading/unloading the cargo area. *We have had the vehicle back to the dealership many times for these problems with no resolutions to these recurring problems. We had opened a case#[XXX] with Nissan North America, but it was closed back in mid March2025 when we thought the problems were resolved. Incident Date: 04/05/2026 Vehicle Speed: 65–70 MPH Location: [XXX] Component: Engine / Power Train / Fuel System Summary of Safety Defect: While traveling at highway speeds (65–70 MPH) with four passengers (including two children), the vehicle suffered a sudden, catastrophic engine failure without any prior warning or symptomatic noise. The Malfunction Indicator Light (MIL) began flashing rapidly, immediately followed by a total loss of motive power. Despite throttle input, the vehicle failed to maintain speed or accelerate, creating an immediate hazard in high-speed traffic. Hazardous Conditions encountered: Upon the loss of power, I observed white smoke trailing from the exhaust and a strong burning odor entering the cabin from the engine compartment. To avoid a high-speed rear-end collision, I was forced to perform an emergency maneuver across active lanes of traffic to reach the shoulder. Due to the immediate fear of a vehicle fire (indicated by the smoke and burning smell), my family was forced to evacuate the vehicle and wait outside in a remote location for six hours. Correlation to Known Defects: This incident appears to be a direct manifestation of the defect described in Nissan Recall ID R25E3/R25E4 / NHTSA ID 26V0801 regarding Engine Main Bearing Seizure. The failure resulted in a complete loss of propulsion and a potential fire risk due to fluid ignition or a breached engine block. I have a brand new 2024 Nissan rogue I keep it very pristine condition and I follow all recommendations for service on my vehicle. I am down in Naples Florida originally from Crystal Lake Illinois, and while I was at the gas station called Murphy's in Naples I presumably got bad fuel and now I have $3,000 in damages on my car. I asked the Naples Nissan dealership to help me fill out a form to make Murphy's be held accountable and they still haven't done it 5 days later. I'm in a rental car losing money everyday. I contacted Nissan consumer affairs and their case manager is in India she's never returned my call, she has never even contacted the dealership and I contacted the consumer affairs department again yesterday asking for a supervisor to call me back but I never got a return call. I'm at a financial loss, and under horrible stress due to all these conditions with no one helping me resolve my issue. I need help please help!
On oct 17,2025. While driving 35 mph on my to drop off my niece to her doctor appointment. My new 2024 Nissan rogue started to shake and engine light started to blank and cut off power and stopped on the road. Putting our lives at risk for accident on the road. Error Code : P2563 and P2565. I took it to the Dealership Antwerpen Nissan in clarksville, MD. Were I purchased the car brand new in 2024. The system check showed that Nissan Turbo had failed a defective safety recall and I need a New engine for my car after less then 1 year. The dealership would not honor this dangerous safety recall issue from Nissan has on the Turbo engine as there is a active recall on 2022 - 2024 Nissan rogue on the VC- Turbo Engine. walked out to my vehicle this morning to take my kids to school and go to work and my back windshield was completely shattered. appears spontaneously. no other damage to the vehicle, no break in, just shattered window.
I closed the passenger door on my car and the rear window disintegrated.

Upon entering drivers side front door and closing door the rear hatchback window glass shattered falling inside and outside on driveway.

While parked at work I have called and spoke to dealership who has stated this isnt thw first time somone has called about window but they do not have a warranty or recall available for windows. My car now has to sit in the weather.(snowing) with a bag over broken window for 3 days until it can be fixed. Then will need to go in for a detailing because glass in in my kids carseat, and all over the car from it breaking. Will cost me 450$ to replace window to clean all the glass out of my car im estimated my local retailer 250$

Good day! This is a report about a product/manufacturer safety issue! We recently purchased a 2024 Nissan Rogue AWD vehicle. Shortly after the purchase, we were driving here in Tennessee on a divided highway with left and right turn lanes. In this scenario, we were driving around a right hand curve in the road at 55 mph behind another vehicle in cruise control. The sensor was set at the lowest level of distance between the vehicle in front and our vehicle, which is still pretty far back. But as we were going into the right hand curve, there was also a left turn lane that another car was entering. This car in the turn lane was going significantly much slower as it was preparing to turn left, but the problem started at this point of the scenario. As the car in front of me cleared the sensor in the right hand curve curved away from the front of my vehicle, the sensor apparently picked up the car in the turn lane, which became the car directly in front of me, and an immediately sensed obstacle, going at a significantly slower rate speed and cause our car to automatically, rapidly, and startlingly apply the brakes to our vehicle, though we were still at a safe distance behind the car going around the curve in front of us. This not only caused a significant risk to us as we were trying figure out what was going on in a split second while trying to get to the side of the road thinking something was failing in our vehicle and was quickly becoming unsafe, but for the safety of the vehicle behind us who may have been surprised by the immediate and significant braking our vehicle was undertaking by the computer in the car, placing a higher risk for a rear ending when there was no risk in front of our vehicle. Add to that, if there were several vehicles behind us the potential for a domino effect crash.
Forward collision system turns off while driving causing vehicle to randomly jerk an slow down in traffic. Taken the vehicle in 4 times to have them look at and service center refuses to help me an give me any information on when there will be an update. Received an email for a recall made an appointment for said recall arrived at shop and my service was refused. Asked for documentation on service being refused an got told they could not give me that. After an hour of debating finally receive paper. Leaving store once again my cruise control turned off an vehicle jerks. All this has taken place at Billion Nissan in Sioux Falls. They are unwilling to assist me in anything for my vehicle. Have documented proof of all occasions and I am still refused service from the shop.

Reverse & Forward collision warning light flashing on the dash at different periods of time, temperature and speed of vehicle. Unknown if warning light is flashing if collision airbags will deploy if in accident. Reported to Four Star Nissan in Denton, TX, service tech advised no issue, could be because I drive on "rural" roads, when though my driving is all highway miles, showed the service techs the display, showed them pictures and videos of the warning light coming and going, and they said there is no error. It does not have a constant display, it comes and goes at different times, speeds, temperatures. First appeared approx. 1 week after I purchased the vehicle on 12/23/2025, light started displaying on 01/04/26 and has continued since.

The monitor and camera system does not always come on. The gps doesn’t work and if you try to backup there is no indication someone is behind you because the cameras are inoperable. This is definitely a safety issue. I have taken the vehicle to 2 service centers and it is still not fixed. As a matter of fact the issue happened before we drove it off the lot and we were told there was nothing wrong with the system
The Infotainment system goes black intermittently & frequently- When this occurs, there is no access to any cameras and if it occurs while backing out, the mirrors self-adjust down (for the camera?) and therefore, you are unable to even user your sideview mirrors. I have contacted Nissan Corporate-they deny any issues but the local dealership told me there is a software problem similar to the 2022 issue (recall) but there is no solution because this is a new problem with 2024.

Subject: Formal Complaint and Denial of Recall Reimbursement – Nissan North America To Whom It May Concern, I am filing a formal complaint against Nissan North America for refusing to reimburse $6,703 in out-of-pocket expenses related to a failed VC-Turbo engine and a faulty electronic throttle body. These components failed on October 20, 2025, and are directly associated with active, ongoing safety recalls. Despite submitting a formal claim through Nissan Consumer Affairs and providing all necessary documentation, my request for reimbursement has been repeatedly denied. Nissan is failing to honor its regulatory obligation to cover costs for repairs involving known safety defects. I request that the NHTSA investigate this refusal to reimburse legitimate recall-related expenses. Thank you for your time and assistance in this matter. Nissan is breaking Magnuson-Moss Warranty Act in this matter. As they are purposely denying reimbursement on safety recall out of pocket repairs done. As nissan at the time of engine failure back on October 2025 refused to honor the recall repair & forced the customer to pay out of pocket for a failed manufacturing defect on Nissan vc turbo engine & Failed Nissan electric throttle body. All recalled manufacturing defects caused by Nissan. Were on October 2025 the engine on my 2024 nissan rogue cut off while driving with my family., with no warning & almost got us into a car accident. The cause was due to failed bearings in the vc turbo engine that nissan refused to fix that caused the vc turbo engine to fail and electric throttle body. All are recalls and serious safety defects. Nissan has been refusing to fix since 2025 in my matter and still till this day in 2026. $5, 700 out of pocket for Nissan vc turbo & $1,003 out of pocket for Nissan Electric throttle body. The driver seatbelt latchplate binds and continually cinches tighter during normal driving. The issue occurs where the seatbelt webbing passes through the latchplate slot where the shoulder belt transitions to the lap belt. There appears to be insufficient clearance in the latchplate slot, allowing the webbing to slide easily in the tightening direction but not easily in the loosening direction. As a result, the belt continually tightens and specifically pulls the lap portion tighter, while slack cannot be easily fed back through the latchplate without excessive force. This creates a driver distraction because the belt must be forcibly loosened while driving to relieve pressure on the lap. When slack is created to restore comfort, the slack must be maintained because the belt will not easily slide back through the latchplate. This creates a safety trade-off between driving distraction from repeatedly loosening the belt or maintaining excess slack in the restraint system. Two Nissan dealerships inspected the vehicle and declined repair, stating the system is operating within specification.

The Body Control Module System goes to sleep intermittently. Nissan reports that it is a manufacturer error but Nissan has 0 fixes or recommendations. They refuse to buy the car back. The BCM system is a safety hazard as my lights don't always come on and it is interconnected with other systems including the air bag system and safety restraint system. This is a huge concern to me as I don't want to have to worry if my restraints or air bags will work when needed. Also, I have had other issues related to infotainment system. It is a brand new vehicle and should not have all these issues causing me to question if I'll be safe. I have video proof of all issues.

Took my Nissan Rogue in for simple oil change, and was told I need NEW tires after 18,000 miles
I was sold dry rotted tires (235/60/R18/103H), on Sunday, March 23, 2025. I noticed hazardous condition while driving on Freeway under the speed limit where tires were making very loud grinding/riveting sound and I couldn't drive a normal freeway speed, on March 25, 2025. The front driver tire was sold to me damaged where it doesn't properly hold the required air to operate my vehicle safely at 16 psi. I proceeded to get tires inspected at Walmart where I was alerted that it wasn't safe to drive the vehicle due to the conditions of the tires. I contacted business and asked to speak with manager at the location wo didn't offer any solution to rectify this selling of dry rotted hazardous tires. I was simply told to provide a copy of inspection report and my receipt with no resolution to this date where my vehicle hasn't been moved due to the hazardous condition of the tires that affect my safety.; and is a deceptive business practice.

I also experienced vibration in the steering wheel. It felt as if the suspension was coming apart. I pulled over to see if something was under the car, but there was nothing. After driving a couple of miles, it decreased but it still happens every now and then. I took it to the Nissan dealership for an evaluation. They checked it out but could only reproduce the knocking noise once, and it wasn't that severe so there wasn't anything that they could do. They checked the suspension and everything checked out okay. So I'm still driving my vehicle, but I don't feel 100% safe, because I don't want to be on the highway and this happens again. I feel that there is something wrong,but I guess it won't get fixed until it actually breaks. I wanted to report this issue in case any other Rogue owners experienced the same problem.

The contact owns a 2024 Nissan Rogue. The contact stated that while attempting to start the vehicle, the infotainment system failed to display an image while shifted into reverse. Additionally, the instrument cluster was inoperable. The vehicle was taken to the dealer, and the contact was informed that the technician needed to see the failure before the vehicle could be repaired. The vehicle was not diagnosed or repaired. The manufacturer was notified of the failure and informed the contact that a diagnostic test was needed and would be an out-of-pocket expense. The contact related the failure to NHTSA Campaign Number: 24V748000 (BACK OVER PREVENTION, EQUIPMENT); however, the VIN was not included in the recall. The contact was referred to the NHTSA Hotline for assistance. The failure mileage was 1,474.

Forward collision sensor comes on and deactivates the cruise control and all safety features, sometimes breaking and quickly deceleration the car in traffic, dealer and Nissan refuse to address the issue telling me it's working as intended, feels like the car intends to kill me when this occurs in traffic.

The Infotainment system goes black intermittently & frequently- When this occurs, there is no access to any cameras and if it occurs while backing out, the mirrors self-adjust down (for the camera?) and therefore, you are unable to even user your sideview mirrors. I have contacted Nissan Corporate-they deny any issues but the local dealership told me there is a software problem similar to the 2022 issue (recall) but there is no solution because this is a new problem with 2024.
